Originally used as a company vacation retreat, the goal of this project was to propose new design and scope of construction that best suits the new program of a single family home. The original building was constructed in 1970, retrofitted to current seismic standards. The overall design theme of the interior was to integrate a new and modern design into the existing charm of the wood detailing. Sliding glass partitions allow for a zoning separation of the main living room, allowing for much more economic heating of the main living space during the cold mountain winters.
